Recently, I got married in the St. Louis, MO temple. About a month before my wedding, my mom was diagnosed with metastatic adenocarcinoma (cancer). You could imagine what a shock that was, especially while making wedding plans. We had to structure the wedding to cater to her needs. Our wedding was centered around the temple, which is how it should be. Not knowing whether she’d be able to go through the temple with me to receive my endowment, I had faith that the Lord would give her strength, so she could stay the entire time. As it turned out, I’m grateful that my mom was able to go through the entire endowment session with me, and she was able to attend my wedding despite her circumstance. Although we’re still fighting the cancer, I recognize the Lord’s hand in our lives. So, I’m grateful. Posted by: Keri
